Three people lost their lives when two articulated trucks were involved in a side-swipe collision on the R36 between Bambi and Lydenburg on Monday October 9.

According to the spokesperson for the Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison, Moeti Mmusi, the victims include one truck driver and two passengers.

“The driver of another truck sustained critical injuries and was subsequently airlifted to a nearby hospital. No bus was involved in this crash as had earlier been reported,” he said.
