The MOU(Memorandum of Understanding) signed between Ehlanzeni TVET College and Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature on Wednesday 7 May 2025, is viewed as the beginning of a strategic partnership dedicated to enhancing education, skills development, and community upliftment in the region.
Mxolisi Nzimande(Ehlanzeni TVET College Corporate Communications)said the partnership marks a pivotal step toward achieving shared educational goals and strengthening ties between Ehlanzeni TVET College and the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature. He said the collaborative effort between the two institutions will enrich the lives of students and communities alike.
“ The MOU sets forth a collaborative framework designed to implement various initiatives, including internships, learnerships, lecture workplace exposure, and the development of Quality Council for Trades and Occupations(QCTO) qualifications,” said Nzimande.
He added that both institutions share a common commitment of advancing the National Skills Development Agenda and fostering a productive working relationship to benefit communities for the next five years and beyond.

, has called for action in the quest to realise the vision as set out in the MOU.
“ This memorandum of understanding should not gather dust, but should be implemented for the benefit of the two institutions. This collaboration must roll out programs that will assist both the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature and the TVET,” said Shabangu.
The Principal of Ehlanzeni TVET College, Elias Mbuyane, has highlighted the college’s commitment in ensuring that the partnership achieves its intended goals and is impactful.
“ As the college, we are not just looking for another partnership. We must make it work for our students and provide our lecturers with exposure to real working environments,” said Mbuyane.
