The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) is calling upon its beneficiaries to be aware of scammers encouraging them to change their  SASSA cards to a certain unknown bank card.

According to a statement issued by SASSA  it states that the  scammers claim to be working for SASSA and advice its beneficiaries to open an account with a certain invalid bank. The scammers are said to be spreading wrong information that  their gold SASSA cards will not have money by the end of June 2022 and need to speed up on opening the new bank account.

SASSA has assured all its beneficiaries that the SASSA cards will continue  working until an officially communication is issued.
