A 33-year-old woman is set to appear at the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court facing charges of murder and defeating the ends of justice after her 37-year-old boyfriend was stabbed to death at Wesselton Ext 2, in Ermelo.
Police spokesperson in Mpumalanga, Brigadier Donald Mdhluli, said the police were called to the scene and discovered dismembered body parts inside a plastic bag while other parts were stuffed inside a maize meal bag.
“ Preliminary investigations suggest that an argument between the suspect and the victim ensued, resulting in a tragic incident whereby the victim was stabbed to death,” said Brigadier Mdhluli.

The Acting Provincial Police Commissioner, Major-General(Dr)Zeph Mkhwanazi, said he is concerned about murders that involved people who are in a relationship or are known to the family members.
“When the time comes for the release of crime statistics, we often experience that cases of murder are committed by people that are close to each other. This is where we urge communities to work collaborately with us to prevent similar incidents. Such type of incidents reflects moral decay in the society, ” said the General.
