A Commitment to Education and Community Development

At Silulumanzi, we firmly believe that education is the key to unlocking a brighter future for our communities. That’s why we’re committed to investing in the next generation of leaders through our Bursary Fund.

Since 2016, we’ve been supporting talented students from disadvantaged backgrounds, providing them with the opportunity to pursue careers in the water sector.

Our bursary program is designed to provide comprehensive support to our recipients, covering all the essentials, including:

 – Full tuition fees

 – Registration fees

 – Accommodation fees

 – Books and stationery

 – A monthly stipend

 In return, our recipients commit to working with us upon graduation, gaining valuable practical experience while contributing to the development of our industry.

We’re proud to have supported eight students since the inception of the program, with six graduates and two currently enrolled at tertiary institutions. Our graduates have pursued various degrees in fields related to engineering and have gone on to become outstanding achievers. They are:

 – Thando Mkhabela, BSc Electrical Engineering, University of Witwatersrand

 – Nicolo Hlophe, BSc Electrical Engineering, Tshwane University of Technology

 – Isabel Ngomane, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, University of Johannesburg – Sfiso Ndlovu, B Tech in Electrical Engineering, Durban University of Technology

 – Siphosethu Nkosi, Civil Engineering, North West University

 – Ncobile Mbhungele, Chemical Engineering, University of Western Cape.

– Ezraite Jamile(20)- National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Cape Peninsula University of Technology

– Surprise Ngwamba(21)- Mechanical Engineering, University of Pretoria.

We’re excited to welcome Promise Khanyisile Mashabane, our newest bursary recipient from Daantjie, who will be studying Civil Engineering at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.

Our bursary program is just one example of our commitment to education, skill development, and community empowerment.

By supporting talented individuals and fostering the development of skilled professionals, we’re contributing to a more sustainable future for our communities.

Graduates have not only achieved academic success, but also equipped with skills and qualifications that allow them to contribute positively to their local communities.

By fostering the development of talented individuals,  Silulumanzi contributes to building a skilled workforce that will benefit society as a whole.
