The appointment of Bheki Zulu as the new Provincial Public Service Commissioner was welcomed by Mpumalanga Premier, Mandla Ndlovu, during a meeting held in Mbombela on Wednesday 23 April 2025.
According to the Provincial Government spokesperson, George Mthethwa, Zulu is an experienced public servant with a track record of working in the Provincial Government and subsequently at Ehlanzeni District in Mbombela.
Mthethwa said the Commission is the latest oversight body to meet with the Premier, following a meeting with Public Protector, Advocate Kholeka Gcaleka, two moths ago, in which Gcaleka announced plans to establish a new office in KwaMhlanga.
“ During the engagement, Mr. Ndlovu expressed commitment to work closely with the Commission and to adhere to its guidance on matters of public service,” said Mthethwa.
