This Friday, February 28, 2025, Mpumalanga Premier Mandla Ndlovu will deliver his inaugural State of the Province Address (SOPA) at the Mpumalanga Legislature Chamber in Mbombela, starting at 10:00 a.m.

The address is expected to outline measures to address socio-economic challenges faced by the province’s growing population of 5.3 million, including poverty and unemployment.
Premier Ndlovu will also reflect on the government’s achievements, highlighting the increasing number of people with access to social intervention programs such as housing, scholar bus transport, and school nutrition programme.
Key Priorities and Commitments
Shortly after taking office, Premier Ndlovu outlined the 7th administration’s key priorities, which include:
• Driving inclusive growth and job creation
• Reducing poverty and tackling the high cost of living
•  Building a capable, ethical, and developmental state
• Implementation of projects, such as the Mpumalanga International Fruit Market
He has expressed his commitment to working tirelessly to improve the lives of the people through the delivery of sustainable quality services, including:
Portable water and improved sanitation facilities
 • Road infrastructure and safe environment
 • Good health services
 Live Broadcast and Public Invitation
The Premier’s address will be broadcast live on radio and social media, allowing the public to stay informed and engaged. Members of the media are also invited to attend, and accreditation details are available upon request.
