MEC Majuba standing alongside the victorious teachers

The department of education in Mpumalanga congratulated all teachers who represented the province well at the national teaching awards held at Hatfield arena in Gauteng province last week.
The teachers scooped prestigious awards in their respective categories.
MEC for education in Mpumalanga,Bonakele Majuba, said that the teachers have brought honour to the province, through their hard work and commitment to their learners.
” Indeed congratulations are in order, we also congratulate all of the other teachers who were nominated for the national teaching awards. Your dedication to your learners is an inspiration to us all. You are truly making a difference in the lives of our children everyday,” said MEC Majuba.
The results are as follows:
- Noorisha Seedat-1st place in the category of excellence in primary school teaching.
- Samukelisiwe Hlomuka-1st place in the category of excellence in ICT teaching.
- Thembekile Khumalo-1st place in the category of excellence in natural science teaching.
- Theresa Botman-2nd place in the category of excellence in primary school leadership.
- Mahlatse Mokgonyane-3rd place in the category of excellence in secondary school teaching.
