The police in Mpumalanga have expressed relief after a 3-year-old deaf boy identified as Nkosingiphile Ntiwane, from Mshadza Trust in Masoyi, was safely reunited with his family on Friday 25 July 2025. The boy reportedly went missing on Sunday 20 July 2025.
Reacting to the good news, Mpumalanga MEC for DCSSL(Community Safety, Security and Liaison), Jackie Macie, thanked the collaborative effort by members of the SAPS(South African Police Service), and the residents of Masoyi.
“ The disappearance of any person always invokes fear and panic amongst family members. Fear and panic become more pronounced if the missing person is a minor,” said Macie.
The MEC has also acknowledged the effort of CPWs(Crime Prevention Wardens) who worked diligently alongside the police and community members during the search. Macie pleaded with parents to ensure that they know the whereabouts of their children at all times, and to never leave their children unattended.

“ We are grateful to all the teams that were involved. The safe recovery of the child is once more an affirmation that when communities work with the police, crime can be solved and prevented.” said Macie.
