The Nkangala District has recognised the hard work and dedication of its Extension Advisors at the annual Extension Summit, held at Loskop Forever Resort in Middleburg(Steve Tshwete Local Municipality), on Thursday 10 April 2025.
Over 100 Agricultural Extension officers, guests and offcials attended the prestigious event which highlighted the importance of this group in the agricultural sector.
The Provincial Extension Advisory Services Coordinator, Sydney Nengudza, expressed appreciation for the advisors’ tireless efforts, stating, “Your dedication is making a difference, your perseverance is inspiring others, and we appreciate your commitment to improving the community.”
According to Mpumalanga DARDLEA(Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Land and Environmental Affairs), this sentiment by Nengudza echoes the value of employee recognition in fostering a supportive and productive work environment.
“ The summit aimed to equip Agricultural Advisors with the latest technological practices and research findings, ensuring they are well-prepared to address the sector’s challenges. By investing in these advisors, the district acknowledges the crucial role they play in driving progress and innovation in agriculture,” said DARDLEA
The summit went further to demonstrate that the recognition of employees’ contributions boosts morale, job satisfaction, and engagement.
