Speaking during the opening ceremony, Premier Ndlovu said the government listens to the requirements of the people and will continue to provide such services that improve lives.
“ South Africa is the only country that provides free medical healthcare services to its population. Let’s all work together as the people of Mpumalanga, we are happy that you are here to take ownership of this health center. As the Premier, I do not support people who destroy community infrastructures when voicing their grievances.
“ R197 million was invested in this health center. We are happy that the community has benefitted, including sub-contractors. This health center we’ll work 12 ECD’s, with 9 Primary Schools and 5 Secondary Schools. The nurses will visit our children and talk to them. We invite everyone here to know their status for diseases such as HIV, TB, Hypertension, High Blood Pressure.
“ We thank MEC Manzini for her hard work. We’ll now be able to treat Cancer in Mpumalanga, with the opening of the Oncology Unit at Rob Ferreira Hospital. We’ll work harder to improve other hospitals such as Temba, Mapulaneng and others. We thank you for your cooperation. Take care of this facility, guard it jealously and use it to your benefit,” said Premier Ndlovu.
The Premier added that it is his wish that community health centers in the province must operate for 24 hours.
