A fully equipped mobile health clinic valued above R1,5million and 20 wheelchairs, donated by Anglo American Inyosi Coal Community Trust, were received by Mpumalanga MEC for Health, Sasekani Manzini, at Phola Extension 3, under the Emalahleni Local Municipality.

The mobile health clinic will reportedly serve the community of Phola and surrounding farms in improving access to healthcare services, while the wheelchairs are said to be aimed at improving mobility and quality of life for recipients in enabling them to participate fully in their respective communities.

MEC Mancini welcomed the donation and encouraged the community members to ensure that they use the health facilities to check their health status for early detection of diseases and treatment.
“ We welcome the donation and we believe it will have an impact to our people, especially those who are working or staying in remote areas, and the wheelchairs will assist to improve independence in their daily life,” said Manzini.
