Female members from different law enforcement agencies, departments and institutions in Mpumalanga such as, SAPS(South African Police Service), Transport Inspecrorate of the department of public works, roads and transport, Ehlanzeni disaster management and Mbombela Traffic, conducted a successful roadblock on the N4 toll road near Karino.
The operation, led by provincial DCSSL(department of community safety, security and liaison), was said to be aimed at showcasing the capacity that women possess in law enforcement.
” The department also uses the initiative to mobolise community to support and respect frmale law enforcers, the same way they do to their male counterparts,” said DCSSL in a statement
The department added that similar operations were conducted in Gert Sibande and Bohlabela districts, also that the last operation will be held in Nkangala region later this month.
