A 29 year old suspect, Zola Martin Mnisi, handed himself over to the police and made his first appearance at the Kabokweni magistrate’s court on Monday.

Mnisi was reportedly on the run from police after he was linked to a series of murders and CIT (cash-in-transit) robberies in Mpumalanga.

According to provincial spokesperson for the Hawks in Mpumalanga, captain Dineo Sekgotodi, Mnisi was circulated as a fugitive in various media platforms, alongside his co-accused who is still on the run.

” During the investigation it was discovered that Mnisi was also linked to the Kabokweni murder of a Fidelity security officer and cash-in-transit robbery in April 2023, White River murder of G4S security guard and cash-in-transit robbery in July 2023 and Malelane cash-in-transit robbery in August 2023,” said Sekgotodi.

The Hawks urged Mnisi’s co-accused to also hand himself over.

Mnisi’s case was postponed to Thursday at the same court and he’ll make other appearances at the White River and Malelane magistrate’s court, respectively, to face the said charges.
