A 17 year-old female victim was allegedly raped, while her 20 year-old cousin managed to escape the ordeal unharmed, in Vosman on Thursday 28 March.
Mpumalanga police spokesperson, Colonel Donald Mdhluli, said preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect, who was driving a grey Hyundai i10, somehow lured the two females and bought them some beverages at the neighbour’s house during a party. The suspect is reported to have convinced the two females to go to secluded place, where the 17 year-old victim was allegedly raped.
“ It was during this period when the suspect was about to rape the second victim aged 20 years old, that the minor used the spanner to obtain their freedom from this cruel man. A rape case and attempted rape case were opened. No one has been arrested
so far,”
