Two Nigerian males and one South African female, aged between 22 and 31 years old, were apprehended for allegedly manufacturing and dealing in drugs such as heroin, cocaine and crystal meth, following a search and seizure that was executed at the Draaikewer flats in Lydenburg, on Wednesday 24 April.
The suspects were reportedly nabbed by a team of law enforcement agencies comprising of the Hawks’ Nelspruit-based Serious Organised Crime Investigation, Provincial Crime Intelligence, Lydenburg police and White River K9 Unit.
Mpumalanga spokesperson for the Hawks, Captain Dineo Sekgotodi, said information was received and operationalised, leading the law enforcement team to an identified house where the alleged drug factory was discovered.

“ During the search, heroin, cocaine and crystal meth, with an estimated street value of R14 131.00 were found and confiscated. The suspects were arrested and detained, pending their first court appearance,” said Sekgotodi.
She added that the suspects will appear at the Lydenburg Magistrate’s Court on Thursday 25 April and investigation continues.
