The MTPA(Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency) is set to participate at the WTM(World Travel Market) Africa Trade Show, scheduled to take place from 13 to 15 April 2026 in the City of Cape Town, Wester Cape Province.
The event, under the theme:“Your Gateway to Global Journey”, will reportedly offer the MTPA an opportunity to showcase and market the province of Mpumalanga as the leading destination in the country, with an abundance of breathtaking tourist attractions.

The WTM Africa attracts over 6,000 industry professionals, offering opportunities for business leads, partnerships, and investment.
According to the MTPA, the event will focus on connecting Africa with the world, while highlighting future focused tourism, sustainable, and technological innovation.
“ The World Travel Market (WTM) is Africa’s leading business-to-business exhibition for both inbound and outbound travel and tourism. The event presents a strategic opportunity for the province to position and promote Mpumalanga as a preferred tourism and investment destination to both African and international markets,” said MTPA.

A delegation of 14 tourism products from Mpumalanga will reportedly accompany the MTPA, while The KLCBT(Kruger Lowveld Chamber of Business and Tourism) will support and accommodate a further seventeen 17 tourism products from the province, as part of the MTPA’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with the private sector and key government stakeholders,

“ These collective efforts are aimed at unlocking economic opportunities, attracting investment, and supporting the growth of tourism in the place of the rising sun. The WTM Africa programme also features the ATIC(Africa Tourism Investment Conference), which brings together policymakers, investors, and destination leaders to deliberate on tourism investment trends, opportunities, and strategies,”
said the MTPA.
