Police recovered a half-naked body of a 42 year old male, identified as Wayne Handerson, wrapped in a duvet along the R50 Road(about 5 kilometres towards Standerton).
Mpumalanga police spokesperson, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, said that the body was spotted by a farm worker in the early hours of Tuesday 7 November at about 3:00 am.
According to Mohlala, the victim was reportedly abducted in Hercules(Pretoria) in Gauteng.
” Mr Henderson was found not far from the vehicle which was reported missing by his father in Hercules. The deceased was found with his neck sliced open and a stab wound on his head. Upon investigation, blood stains were found in the boot of the vehicle, a grey Renault Sandero,” said Mohlala.
He said that the deceased was positively identified by a family member on the same day of the gruesome discovery.
” Circumstances surrounding his murder are currently unclear, but both Standerton and Hercules police are trying their best to connect the dots which might lead to the arrest of the possible suspects,” said Mohlala.
