Kaizer Chiefs are through tho the Nedbank Cup Final after a miraculous 2-1 win against Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday at the sold-out Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Tshwane.
The victory by Amakhosi is viewed by fans as a probable path towards breaking the drought that has seen the team failing to lift any trophy for the past 10 seasons in all domestic competitions.
Amakhosi dominated the first 10 minutes of the match and created two scoring chances from Wandile Duba and Gaston Sirino, but the Sundowns defence was alert to avoid any surprises.

Sundowns adopted a calm approach and stuck to their usual game plan until they secured a goal in the 49th minute, before the halftime break, from a magnificent set piece by Teboho Mokoena after Marcelo Allende was fouled outside the box.
Chiefs secured the equaliser in the 56th minute after 20-year old Duba took advantage of an embarrassing error by Lucas Suarez who miscalculated a back pass to his goalkeeper, Ronwen Williams.
With the score sheet on level terms, Chiefs started to turn the tables around and applied immense pressure on the Sundowns defence.
Chiefs coach, Nasreddine Nabi, made some few changes in the early stages of the second half.
Ashley Du Preez, who was also introduced in the second half, scored the second and winning goal for Chiefs in the 88th minute, securing the long-awaited victory for his team.
Chiefs will face Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup Final match scheduled to be played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium(KwaZulu-Natal), on a date yet to be announced.
