The Mpumalanga DCSR(Department of Culture, Sport and Recreation) has taken a significant step towards promoting grassroots sport development in the Nkangala District.
MEC Leah Mabuza recently handed over sporting attire and equipment to 18 community sport clubs in the district, supporting local athletes and promoting active, healthy communities.
The handover event was attended by representatives from Thembisile Hani Local Municipality and the Mpumalanga Sports Confederation.
The department said the initiative is expected to have a positive impact on the lives of young athletes and the broader community, promoting a culture of sport and physical activity.
“ MEC Mabuza commended the clubs for their dedication and encouraged them to use the equipment to nurture local talent and promote active, healthy communities,” said DCSR
