The Standard Bank SME(Small Medium Enterprise) Expo was held at Emnotweni Arena in the City of Mbombela on Wednesday 16 April 2025, aimed at providing important insight on gearing small enterprises towards growing and improving the efficiency of their businesses.
On the event small enterprises were also exposed to various options of accessing business opportunities and markets.

The MEC for DEDT(Department of Economic Development and Tourism) in Mpumalanga, Makhosazane Masilela when addressing the stakeholders present, she emphasised the important role played by SMEs in boosting the country’s economy.

“ Small enterprises are the backbone of our economy, and play a pivotal role in the alleviation of poverty, job creation and sustainable growth. Therefore, this SME Expo will undoubtedly assist in supporting some of the already existing provincial interventions geared towards supporting small enterprises,” said MEC Masilela.
