Mpumalanga police are in hot pursuit of suspects reportedly linked to the fatal shooting of three men aged 36, 43 and 50, at a tavern in Tweefontein on Sunday evening 3 March.
A police report, issued by Mpumalanga police spokesperson-Colonel Donald Mdhluli, has revealed that two armed men entered a tavern carrying high calibre firearms and started shooting indiscriminately.
“ Paramedics as well as police were called to the scene, shock upon arrival, the three men were unfortunately certified dead by the medical personnel. A 72-hour Mobilisation plan has been activated and a team of experts in the investigation field has been assembled with the hope to track down the suspects. The SAPS(South African Police Service) management has vowed that the perpetrators will be hunted down and swiftly brought to book,” said Mdhluli.
