MEC Mashilo warns the public against selling and buying RDP houses

The illegal selling of houses and other government services must be reported to law enforcement agencies.
This was the stern warning issued by Mpumalanga MEC for Human Settlements, Speed Mashilo, as he called upon the public to be vigilant and guard against “fraudsters” who are scamming unsuspecting buyers and illegally selling government-subsidised houses for a quick profit.
” It has come to the department’s attention that there are people who are illegally selling government-subsidised houses, in some instances using my name.
” Furthermore, the department urges the community, including all beneficiaries, to refrain from selling and buying houses illegally. The public is urged not to act on any information without verifying with the municipality and department,” said Mashilo.
