The Phelophepha Transnet Train was officially welcomed by Mpumalanga health MEC, Sasekani Manzini, MMC from the City of Mbombela, Phindile Mbowane and Head of health, Dr Lucas Ndhlovu, at Mbombela Train station on 8 May.
Manzini said that the department of health in the province welcomes the initiative by Phelophepha Transnet Train as it aims to assist people to access health care services such as, eye care, cancer screening and other mild illnesses.
” We encourage communities to visit the Phelophepha Transnet Train and utilise the services offered at the train for their health and well-being. The train is expected to also visit other rural areas in the province such as Bushbuckridge and Thaba Chweu municipality,” said Manzini
