SASSA has been notified  of a latest scam happening around Mpumalanga where bogus funeral covers are sold to vulnerable aged and people living with disability by fraudsters.

These fraudsters are said to pretend as if they are SASSA employees in trying to do their  corrupted activities. SASSA is warning beneficiaries to remain vigilant and guard their IDs and SASSA payment cards very carefully.

As if that was the only scam happening another  modus operandi used is to pose as health practitioners registering beneficiaries for vaccination. Government vaccination programme is openly rolled out by the Department of Health on identified sites by the Department. The urgency has requested that if anyone is confronted with such a situation of scammers, beneficiaries are urge to call the police immediately to arrest those robbers.

If there are any changes SASSA will utilise credible platforms and direct interaction based on the personal details provided by each beneficiary to the agency.o
