Message From The Precidency
Over the past few days we have witnessed devastating violence and destruction, but the majority of South Africans have always stood against those who would tear us apart.
Today we are called upon to remain calm, to exercise restraint, and to resist any attempts to incite violence, create panic or fuel divisions.
We will not let the past days’ violence derail the process of healing, reconstruction and renewal we have begun.
We have set our country on a path of progress and recovery. We will not allow a few people among us to threaten this collective effort.
We will protect our constitutional democracy, so that we can consolidate our gains.We will not be deterred. As South Africans we will stand together because our unity is our strength.
