HOD for the Department of Culture Sports and Recreational, Godfrey Ntombela

It is expected to be bigger and better where the streets of Mbombela and Mpumalanga will be given the taste of good vibes in the coming months. Tourism sectors no longer wait any longer as the economy will be boosted.

It all started in the year 2015, when the department of culture sports and recreation in Mpumalanga together with the Mpumalanga provincial government decided on starting a glam event where all nations come together.

It all marks a full Eight years since the Cultural Xperience in Mpumalanga started.

Speaking on a official launch that was held at Spy to Sky in the head of department Godfrey Ntombela highlighted the importance of the X-Perience in the province as it boosts the provinces economy and further that this year’s Xperience will be an unforgettable moment. “We will make sure that we give the nation the best event ever, as this is one event that national and international visitors most attend, we will make sure we showcase what our province has to all our visitors,” he said.

The pillars allocated for this year’s event include: The Carnival Xperience, which will be held at the Promenade Centre in The City Of Mbombela on 1 December 2023. Traditional Xperience which will be held at Mathibela Traditional Authority in Bushbuckridge on 25 November 2023, Comedy Xperience at Emnotweni Arena on 30 November. Kasi Xperience at Siya Bar in Ngodini on 1 December 2023, Choral Xperience happening 2 December at Elukwatini Hall. Soul Session Xperience at Mbombela Botanical Garden on 3 December 2023, Film Xperience at Sasol Club in Secunda on 9 December 2023, International Xperience at Communo Auditorial on 9 December 2023.

The department has not only decided on focusing on Xperience but further partnered with other stakeholders in giving the people of Mpumalanga more vibes. The 013 Summer Blaze which is expected to give the December waves will happen on 2 December 2023 at Gospel Awards Xperience on 10 December 20233 at Mbombela stadium.

“I encourage people in the province never to miss such fun, where they have to go buy tickets, I encourage them to do so as early as possible, so they are not disappointed,” he further said.
