The MEC for Education in Mpumalanga, Cathy Dlamini, has heaped praises on all the teachers of the Province who go beyond their call of duty to improve the delivery of quality learning and teaching.
 MEC Dlamini was speaking during a media interview following the successful Provincial Instalment of the National Teaching Awards ceremony held at the Kruger National Park on Saturday 24 August.

â As we enter the 23rd year of the National Teaching Awards, we appreciate the teachers who go an extra mile working hard and smart, at times under trying circumstances. This platform provides us with an opportunity to honour teachers who give all their soul, mind and body to teach and transfer skills, knowledge and values to our learners.
â We are proud to be associated with the calibre of teachers who are resourceful, caring, loving and have the interest of our children and that of our communities at heart,â said Dlamini.
Some of the teachers who were awarded on the day include, Nadia Van Der Merwe from LSEN(Gert Sinande District), Anna Promise Sibitane from Shinyukane Secondary School(Ehlanzeni District), Mxolisi Phakathi from Panorama Secondary School(Ehlanzeni District), Siwelihle Wiseman Fakude from Kwashuku Secondary School(Gert Sibande District), Isaac Ronald Shabangu from Matjeni Primary School(Ehlanzeni District).
