A 27 year old female mine manager was reportedly shot and killed inside her car, in Carolina on Thursday 25 January 2024, as she was about to leave for work.
Colonel Donald Mdhluli, Mpumalanga police spokesperson, said the police and paramedics were called to the scene where they found the victim’s white Toyota bakkie idling while she sat motionless on the driver seat.
“ The woman reportedly had bullet wounds on the upper body. She was unfortunately certified dead by the paramedics at the scene.
“ The motive for the killing is unknown at this stage and it is not yet clear whether there was any item stolen by the perpetrator(s) during the incident. No one has been arrested so far,” said Mdhluli.
He said that more information regarding the gruesome incident will unfold as investigations continue.
