MEC for Education, Bonakele Majuba will undertake a school support visit on Monday to one of the best performing school in the province, Magugwana Secondary School following the 2020 National Senior Certificate Examination.

In the 2020 NSC examinations, Magugwana Secondary School, situated in the Thulamahashe Circuit, Bushbuckridge Local Municipality obtained a 100% pass rate after all the 276 learners who wrote the 2020 National Senior Certificate Examination Passed.

Of those learners 211 met the requirement to study towards bachelor related courses while 58 met the requirements to study towards a diploma.

MEC Majuba intends to use the visit to further encourage the current cohort of learners to work hard to emulate their predecessors and to use the available few days to cover for lost ground.

The 2021 National Senior Certificate Examination will commence on 27 October 2021 with 62 242 registered candidates who will write in 560 examination centres.
“I want to encourage the Class of 2021 to accept the challenge that was put by the 2020 cohort to do even better not just in Magigwana but in the Province as a whole,” said MEC Majuba.
