Mpumalanga Department of Agriculture Rural Development and Land Affairs (DARDLEA) has full partnered with the Department of Education on an ongoing long program in making sure schools are clean, the ‘Rhandza Xikolo Xa Wena campaign’.
The main aim of the campaign is encouraging communities to look after and safeguard schools in their neighbourhoods, to prevent vandalism and torching of the infrastructure.
The department donated 10 camphor trees and 10 climate-friendly Spekboom trees to Ngwaritsane Secondary School in Bushbuckridge during the launch.
Among those in attendance was Correctional Services Deputy Minister, Inkosi Phathekile Holomisa, Education MEC Bonakele Majuba and his HOD, and Bushbuckridge Local Municipality Executive Mayor Cllr Nxumalo.
