Piet Retief hospital hosted Mpumalanga MEC from the department of health, Sasekani Manzini, during her visit to attend to complaints raised against the hospital by local residents on social media platforms.
Manzini was accompanied by the executive mayor at Mkhondo local municipality- Ngelosi Ndlovu and deputy director general (DDG)- Dudu Mdluli.
It is reported that the management at the hospital presented a report on the issued raised by some disgruntled residents.
” The MEC instructed the hospital management to urgently attend to the concerns of the community. Her entourage also visited Mkhondo town clinic and Kempville clinic to monitor the pvision of healthcare services. She was impressed with the availability of medicine from the hospital and the two clinics that were visited,” said the department.
Manzini and Ndlovu also made a stop at Mkhondo community radio to give feedback on the visit to the community.
