The inaugural SPINFEST motorsport event proudly supported by the MTPA(Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Board), has added its presence to a long list of Mpumalanga’s tourism drawcards.
The exhilarating event kicked-off from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM, successfully delivering nonstop action and entertainment throughout the day at Mbombela Stadium .
For the first time, the iconic Mbombela Stadium was transformed into a motorsport arena, showcasing the exceptional talent of more than 50 top spinning drivers from three countries. The event provided spectators with an unforgettable experience, combining the thunderous roar of high-performance engines with the excitement and adrenaline of world-class spinning displays, thrilling demonstrations of speed, precision, and skill, as drivers pushed the limits of performance before an enthusiastic crowd.
According to the MTPA, the First Annual Mbombela SPINFEST served as a celebration of passion, culture, tourism, and entertainment.
“ It provided a unique platform to promote the region while bringing together communities, visitors, and motorsport enthusiasts from across the country and beyond.
“ Whether attending as a dedicated motorsport enthusiast or simply seeking a memorable family outing, visitors enjoyed a spectacular showcase that highlighted Mbombela as a destination capable of hosting innovative and world-class events,” said the MTPA.
The festival captivated audiences with The atmosphere was electric, with the scent of burning rubber and the energy of passionate motorsport fans creating an unforgettable experience. With the resounding success of the inaugural event, the crowd is destined to grow larger and this will extend to local businesses, as well as boosting the economic growth of the province.
