A 31-year-old woman was arrested after it was discovered by Ermelo Detectives that she allegedly planned the brutal killing of her husband.
The husband(40), was reportedly gunned down by four suspects in front of employees and clients at his business premises on Wednesday 20 November in Ermelo at around 3:00pm.
Mpumalanga police spokesperson, Captain Magonseni Nkosi, said the suspects reportedly got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and cellphones belonging to the deceased husband, clients, as well as employees.
“ It was established during the investigation that four suspects, two armed with firearms, entered the premises and opened fire on the victim that was certified dead by medical personnel on the scene,” said Captain Nkosi.
“ An investigation led to the arrest of the victim’s wife. Further investigation led police to Hazyview, where four suspects believed to have committed the murder were arrested by the investigation team and Nelspruit Flying Squad on 24 November 2024, at about 16:30,” Captain Nkosi continued.
He said that two alleged accomplices managed to escape when the four suspects were arrested.
“ The woman’s vehicle that is believed to have been used during the incident, which was seized for further investigation. The four suspects will appear before Ermelo Magistrate’s Court soo,” Captain Nkosi concluded.
