The gruesome discovery of three decomposed bodies, in two separate locations, was strongly condemned by Mpumalanga Acting Provincial Police Commissioner, Major-General Dr Zeph Mkhwanazi.
Police spokesperson in Mpumalanga, Colonel Donald Mdhluli, said two bodies were discovered by the police in a decomposed state in the bushes along the R37 Road from Nelspruit towards Sabie/Lydenburg on Thursday morning of 31 October.

The third semi-decomposed body was reportedly found dumped in the bushes, with multiple injuries and partially burnt, next to a high school at Nokaneng in Mmametlhake on Sunday 27 October.
“ An investigation by the police regarding the two gruesome discoveries has already began with the hope to arrest the suspects as well as to locate the families of the victims,” said Colonel Mdhluli.
Major-General Mkhwanazi said a team of investigators will work around the clock to bring the perpetrators to book.
“ We cannot allow this kind of situation whereby people are killed like flies, hence we will ensure that they(perpetrators) are hunted down and arrested to face the full might of the law,” said General Mkhwanazi.
Colonel Mdhluli has urged anyone who might have a family member missing, wearing similar clothing as the pieces depicted in the picture to contact the police at Mmametlhake. He furthermore called upon anyone with information to contact Detective Captain Solomon Moshime from Mmametlhake South African Police Service on 082 065 1355, as well as Detective Sergeant Given Mahlako from Sabie Police on 071 685 1211.
