The provincial department of finance, economic development and tourism, will host a supply chain management and opportunities indaba led by MEC Nompumelelo Hlophe, at the Kwamhlanga legislature hall-Thembisile Hani local municipality, on Friday.
The MEC said that the indaba to be held in Kwamhlanga will be the third, following two others that were held in Bushbuckridge and Chief Albert Luthuli local municipalities in June and July this year, respectively.
” The aim of this programme is to improve awareness of public procurement value chain and other funding opportunities in the business sector, thereby contributing to broad-based and inclusive participation of small businesses in the provincial economy,” said Hlophe.
Some of the stakeholders expected to attended the indaba include; public sector institutions and representatives from the financial services sector, who will reportedly share information on compliant bidding for opportunities in government and funding available for businesses.
