The 2023 national science week will be hosted by Mpumalanga department of education at the Mondi science, career guidance and FET skills centre, in Mkhondo local municipality from 1-4 August, under the theme;” transforming lives through evidence-based science”.

The department views the science week as an opportunity for learners and the general public to learn about the latest advances in science and technology.

This year’s event will reportedly feature a wide range of activities including; exhibits, demonstrations and presentations from experts in the field.

Mpumalanga MEC for education, Bonakele Majuba, said that science and technology will play a big role in shaping the future, as the world aligns with the 4th industrial revolution.

” The national science week is a chance for us to learn more about how science and technology can be used to improve our lives. I encourage you to attend the national science week and learn more about exciting things that are happening in the world of science and technology,” said Majuba.
