Deputy minister of basic education, Dr Regina Mhaule, hosted an engagement session with high school principals in the Nkomazi area, at Kamhlushwa primary school on Monday.
The engagement was reportedly part of monitoring and oversight visits by Mhaule, aimed at assisting underperforming schools, as part of the department’s attempt to provide the necessary support to improve the performance of learners.
Mhaule conducted similar visits to Mpumalanga schools under the Ehlanzeni Education District such as, Phola secondary, Nkunzi secondary and Hazyview comprehensive schools in March this year, whereby she engaged with various education stakeholders which included school management teams, district directors and subject advisors.
