Mmanoko Justice Malapile, a young entrepreneur from Siyabuswa, in the Dr JS Moroka Local Municipality, is living proof that with the right support, youth can drive economic growth and create jobs.
His 100% youth-owned automotive workshop, MJM Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd, received funding from the PYDF(Premier’s Youth Development Fund) and is now fully operational.
The PYDF, implemented in partnership with MEGA(Mpumalanga Economic Growth Agency), reportedly aims to support youth entrepreneurship and stimulate economic growth.
Malapile’s workshop, situated at the Industrial Park in Siyabuswa, in the Dr JS Moroka Local Municipality, focusing on vehicle servicing and repairs, demonstrates the tangible impact of the Fund in empowering young people to become job creators.
An oversight visit was conducted at the project by officials from the OTP(Office of The Premier) including Mpumalanga DG(Director-General), Maggie Skosana, as well as the Executive Mayors of the Nkangala District and Dr JS Moroka, Thomas Ngwenya, and Nomsa Mtsweni respectively, as part of the Executive Council Outreach Programme, showcasing the project’s progress and sustainability.

The OTP said the visit highlighted the importance of public participation in service delivery improvement.
“ The project received funding for infrastructure development and machinery. All installations have been completed and the workshop is now fully operational, demonstrating the tangible impact of the Fund in empowering young people to become job creators.
The OTP added that since the project’s inception, the fund continues to empower the youth through entrepreneurship opportunities for them to play a meaningful role in driving inclusive economic growth.
