The issue of Climate Change and environmental issues has long  been a problem to many.
DARDLEA in Mpumalanga had a peaceful walk Mbombela  in demonstrating its frustrations to many on the issues of environment.
MEC for the department Busi Shiba has called on every individual to play a role, and act on the problems that are faced especially in environment. Shiba who was part of the march said people should be cautious on taking care of  their environment.
“The climate change situation is real, what we are doing is not madness but we are doing justice to the environment. This is a great opportunity to change and mobilise to hold and reverse the damage our humanity has made. This year’s theme is ‘Healthy soil for healthy earth’, the erosion that is all over is never healthy and is not good at all, we need to protect our environment”, she said.

Shiba has requested people in Mpumalanga to preserve what’s left of the environment, she has further emphasized the importance of acting now, saying it will help save the planet for future generations.  Held under the theme “Healthy Soils for a Healthy Earth”.

Representatives from Environmental groups and farmers sang from the same hymn book, stressing the need for every individual to have a role in environmental programmes in their respective areas, to help save the planet from Climate Change, biodiversity & nature loss, and pollution & waste.  They said these are threats to human health, prosperity, equality and peace.
