The Mpumalanga DEDT(Department of Economic Development and Tourism), in partnership with the MTPA( Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency), launched a Pre-Easter tourism activation campaign in Durban, KwaZulu Natal, to encourage domestic tourism.
DEDT said the vibrant campaign  is part of the legislative mandate to promote and market Mpumalanga as the prime tourism destination with an abundance of tourist sites that continue to enchant millions of domestic, continental, and international visitors.

These iconic tourist sites include; God’s Window, Mac-Mac Pools and falls, Blyde River Canyon, Burkesluk Potholes, The Three Rondawels, Graskop Gorge, Loskop Dam, Makhonjwa Mountains, Kruger National Park, Manyeleti Game Reserve, Lone Creek Falls, to mention but a few.

According to DEDT the theme for the campaign is “Visit and explore Mpumalanga’s hidden gems”.
“ As the Easter holidays are approaching, we are excited to assure holiday makers that the Place of the Rising Sun is ready to welcome them, and the province is well endowed with breathtaking tourist attractions,” said DEDT.
