The Mpumalanga Department of Health, led by MEC Sasekani Manzini, has concluded a Strategic Planning Session in Mbombela, where the department’s commissions reported back on the developed and recommended strategic direction.
The session was reportedly aimed at aligning goals with the department’s mission and vision, providing tools to monitor and implement the performance of the strategic plan.
According to the Department, the session was also focusing on providing tools to monitor and implement the performance of the strategic plan in line with the department’s priorities to further strengthen healthcare systems and improve healthcare services for the people of Mpumalanga.

MEC Manzini, speaking at the Strategic Planning Session, said the Department is focused on ensuring that healthcare services reach every community in the province.
“Our focus remains clear: to strengthen health systems, improve service delivery, and ensure quality healthcare reaches every community in our province. We remain resolute in our quest as the Mpumalanga Department of Health to provide world-class healthcare services to our people, regardless of their socio-economic status, as outlined by the envisaged National Health Insurance,” said MEC Manzini.
