For more than seven years, the Mpumalanga Coltural Xperience has been creating a buzz in the province of Mpumalanga. The Department of Culture, Sports and Recreation has always prioritised its artists and recognised them in the arts sector.
At the official opening of the Cultural Xperience, the Departments Head, Godfrey Ntombela expressed his gratitude as a department and the social cohesion that takes place within the province. Ntombela also said that artists from Mpumalanga will also participate in the event as they made sure as a department.

“This festival comes at a time where we are still affected by the largest pandemic COVID -19 and it will be the first time that it will be held outside the restrictions. The pillars of this year’s festival are to provide a local and international platform.
We appreciate the partnership between the department and the Music Creative Workshop, which has given the best testimony, and we are proud that more than five hundred beneficiaries have benefited from this workshop,” he said.

In addition to this year’s Xperience, the department is expected to focus on seven pillars: Traditional Music, Carnival, Choral Singing, Soul Session, Film Festival and International Xperience, Marathon and Gospel Music to promote the different cultures of the province
The department has also assured residents that it will continue to offer various programmes for remote areas so that those far from cities can benefit and showcase their talent.
