Mpumalanga Community Safety Security Liaison MEC Vusi Shongwe has demanded a retraction from SABC News after a story surfaced about him going to Nkandla on Channel 404 news , Sunday afternoon.
Shongwe said he was shocked to learn that he was on his way to Kwazulu Natal whilest he was in Mpumalanga.
“I am shocked over the news I head that I am on my way to Nkandla, to Former Presidents homestead whilest I am in my Province at my home, I am so shocked over this news “, he said.
Shongwe has demanded that SABC news retract the report as he is in his residence so his province. He further said he is shocked how the reporter made untrue allegations about him withought any verifications.
” It is very important that reporters always check and verify the information they communicate before going on air. People should avoid sensational reporting by peddling incorrect information,” the MEC Shongwe said.
