A festive season celebration event led by Mpumalanga Health MEC,Sasekani Manzini, in collaboration with the Gift of the Givers, was held for the people of Madrass, at the Demonstrators sports ground, under the Bushbuckridge Local Municipality on Saturday 20 December 2025.
Approximately 200 community members, mainly the elderly and young people, reportedly received food parcels and blankets handed out by the MEC and Gift of the Givers.

The Department of Health said primary health care services were provided during the event at temporary stalls as well as on a mobile clinic.
The event also gave MEC Manzini an opportunity to remind community members to act responsibly during the festive season and also encouraged them to collect their medication, undergo regular checkups at health facilities, and to adhere to the prescribed medication regimen by health professionals.
“ MEC Manzini expressed her appreciation for the collaboration and support from the Gift of the Givers and commended healthcare workers for their unwavering dedication and commitment to ensuring uninterrupted access to primary healthcare services,” said the Department of Health.
