All that he would always think of over his head in creating any innovation was nothing other than ‘Child porn’. A 57 year old man from Emalahleni, in Mpumalanga was arrested after a Tip-off was received by police of him in possession of child pornography equipment . The 57-year-old man appeared in the local magistrate’s court on Tuesday for the alleged possession of child pornography and an unlicensed firearm.
“Members followed up on the information and probed the matter, and a sting operation was conducted on Monday. Upon arrival at his place, police searched his premises and found some hard drives, laptops, as well as tablet gadgets. About 9 000 child pornographic materials, including videos, were confiscated. Whilst proceeding with their search, the astute members discovered a revolver, which the suspect failed to produce a valid licence for,” said Mdhluli.
The case was postponed to 28 October 2021 and he was granted R1 000 bail.
Mpumalanga police commissioner Lieutenant General Semakaleng Manamela applauded members of the public for the role they played in the arrest, saying they helped to create a safer environment for children.
