DARDLEA said the course, which included a hands-on experience, allowing participants to get first-hand field conditions and conduct basic research in crop nematology, was fully sponsored by the Karuiki – VLIR-UOS.
“ The course provided basic training in methods to quantify, qualify and process plant parasitic nematodes in crops, with an introduction to beneficial nematodes, indicators of soil health, and nematodes for biocontrol of insects,” said DARDLEA.
