The grounds of the Gert Sibande District Municipality, in Ermelo, came alive with the sound of stretching legs, laced-up takkies, and chatter from runners warming up for four different races.
From seasoned marathoners tackling 42 km to families walking the 4.9 km fun run, the 3-In-1 Marathon turned sport into a day of community and connection.
The MTPA(Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency) was among the exhibitors lining the route, using the event to meet residents where they are, out and active, and open to discovering more of their province.
MTPA said the event provided a valuable platform for stakeholder engagement, community interaction, and the promotion of tourism and recreational opportunities within the district.
“ Through its participation, the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that encourage healthy lifestyles, social cohesion, and community empowerment through sport and recreation,” said MTPA.
