As part of strengthening road maintenance and improving service delivery across the province, 19 new graders were officially handed over by the Mpumalanga DPWRT (Department of Public Works Roads and Transport), led by MEC Thulasizwe Thomo alongside HOD (Head Of Department), Morake Morolo, as well as senior officials of the Department.

The Department said the graders will be deployed across the four districts to play a critical role in improving road accessibility and supporting the work undertaken through the various cost centres.
“This investment demonstrates our commitment to maintaining and strengthening the provincial road infrastructure network.
“The acquisition of these graders forms part of the Department’s ongoing commitment to enhance its internal capacity to maintain the provincial road network, particularly gravel roads in rural communities,” said DPWRT.
