The DG(Director-General) for Mpumalanga Provincial Government, Maggie Skosana, led a team of senior manager during discussions with the Provincial Treasury, led by MEC Bonakele Majuba at the Makhonjwa building, Riverside Government Complex on Tuesday 14 October 2025.
The discussions were reportedly part of the MTEC(Medium Term Expenditure Committee) hearings with departments.
The OTP(Office of the Premier) said engagements were also part of the structured budget planning cycle, outlined in the National Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF).

Furthermore, the Provincial Treasury reportedly assessed progress of the OTP in relation to priorities of the 7th Administration, and to foster a culture of evidence-based planning and fiscal prudence.
“ The OTP is determined to drive the implementation of Medium Term Development Plan (MDTP), and the engagements have enabled the Office to align the resources accordingly.
“ The engagements have further cemented OTP’s quest to support departments and public entities towards the achievement of the strategic priorities of the 7th Administration of driving an inclusive economic growth and job creation, reducing poverty and the cost of living, and building a capable, ethical, and developmental state,” said the OTP.
